Business challenge

Simplimagine LLC wanted to make a web system, which would help companies to create and buy single-type documents reducing expenses and time for preparation of such docs.

The aim was to develop a set of constructors of the most typical legal documents, which allows setting the company’s parameters such as the number of founders, authorized capital, etc. Moreover, lawyers should have a possibility to make templates of documents and set a flexible price on the use of these templates. The key capabilities of the service are sales stats gathering and flexible rates management.

Our solution

We developed an interactive web editor (similar to Google Docs) where users can edit legal documents in a web browser. The constructor allows users to specify the company’s required parameters step by step, such as the number of founders, authorized capital, and other details. After editing, the user can save the document as a PDF.

Registered users (lawyers) can make the templates of various documents (e.g. regulations, agreements, contracts, etc.) and set a flexible price on the use of these templates (Client’s Store module). Other users can make their custom documents on the basis of these templates using interactive editor and buy them afterwards through the Robokassa payment system.

Before:  

  • Preparing a standard legal document required engaging a lawyer or legal consultant, taking several days and incurring per-document fees
  • SMBs without in-house legal teams often deferred standard documentation until it became critical, creating operational and compliance risk
  • Lawyers’ standard document expertise had no scalable distribution channel – templates were shared ad hoc with no pricing structure or usage tracking
  • Each document order required manual back-and-forth between the Client and the legal preparer to verify the company’s parameters

After:  

  • SMBs complete standard legal documents through a guided step-by-step constructor, reducing preparation time by ~50% without requiring legal consultation for routine document types
  • SMBs access current, legally validated templates at ~40% lower cost than traditional per-document legal fees
  • Lawyers publish document templates once to the integrated marketplace and earn per-use revenue without additional billable-hours involvement
  • The interactive constructor validates company parameters at each step and delivers a completed, legally correct document ready for PDF download
